Hi Coaches,
If I were to describe myself in one word, it would be versatile. I took on new challenges in both indoor and the spring season, and have shown that I can compete successfully in a very broad range of running events even if they are challenging or out of my comfort zone. As track is a very mental sport, being out of that comfort zone has led me to be a stronger athlete. Even though track and field is usually said to be "individual," I have definitely enjoyed stepping up and mentoring the younger athletes, and look forward to continuing do so in the upcoming years. In addition to being a leader, independence is definitely important to me, as I value my own goals and working hard to achieve them. I am interested in pursuing a career in environmental science/studies, sustainability and climatology. My ideal school would offer a major in one of those areas, or a degree in the Environmental field with an emphasis on climate.
