My name is Kaylah Hill, and I am a dedicated and hardworking mid-distance runner from Brooklyn, NY. I have over 10 years of competitive experience in track; I started when I was 5 years old and joined my first track team at age 7.
I am an athlete who knows Track & Field and knowing that I have the capability of running in college makes me more excited and passionate about the sport I love.
What sets me apart from other potential recruits is my unique combination of athleticism, work ethic, self-determination, coachability, and my trusting in the process outlook. What I can offer to a team is the promise to always work harder and to never give up. I am the first on the field and the last to leave!
In my spare time, I volunteer at the 77th Precinct Youth Leadership Council Program in Brooklyn, NY. I began volunteering at the program in February 2021. Although it has only been a short period of time, I really enjoy working with officers Temal and Colon. It is gratifying to give back to my community.
When it comes to choosing a college, I am flexible and open-minded. The size and location are less of a priority to me than the financial support and the academic program. The major I would like to pursue is Bachelor of Science in Business. However, my major may change over the course of my high school career.
My practical athletic goals are to continue playing the sport I love at a competitive level, to make a positive impact on the team and to be an inspiration to athletes after me. Knowing that I made a difference by doing my best would be an equally satisfying win for me, a win that benefits both on and off the field.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions!
Best,
Kaylah Hill
