Abigail Andersen '26 Recruiting Profile

My name is Abigail Andersen and I am currently a Junior at Dover High School in Dover Plains, NY. I began my athletic journey so I could watch myself grow in a new discipline. I wanted to challenge myself, set goals, and see tangible progress over time, knowing that each step would reflect the work I was putting in on a daily basis. My goal is to pursue athletics at the collegiate level, allowing me to continue to push myself and witness my growth beyond high school. Another aspect of sports that appeals to me is my teammates. Despite cross country and track being considered somewhat individual sports, I enjoy more than anything, spending time with my teammates during practices and meets, and getting to know people I otherwise would not have. I also apply these ideas to my artwork. On the side, I like to work with all types of mediums and allow myself creative freedom, seeing how far my skill can take me. Each piece I watch myself get better and better and progress as an artist.
