My name is Eva Vitale and I am a Sophomore student at Garden City High School, NY class of 2025. Track and Cross Country have always been a paramount component of my life. I started running when I was ten years old at St. Annes, and each year I fall in love with it more. I really love running and I have determined that the only thing that holds me back, is myself. Instead, I push myself to be the best of my ability by mentally pushing aside my self-doubt, allowing me to run my absolute best times. I refuse to let my mind win and convince me that I am not fast enough or as well trained as my competitors. Furthermore, I have used this mindset off the field in my studies and have excelled in my rigorous coursework of Honors, Pre-Engineering, and AP classes. Being an honors student-athlete is certainly difficult and draining at times, however, my passion for my sport and my drive to achieve excellence in my academics allows me to persevere. Basically running between the two white lines has provided focus and drive.
