As soon as I started running I knew it was for me. I remember it like yesterday my school just had made a program called Running Club and my mom was forcing me to go try it out; to help me get in shape for soccer. At first I hated it I remember telling kids on bus before I joined the club that I would never join the club. I told them it was quite lame and for people who were really out of shape. But when I was forced to try, I thought I might as well get the best of it since I'm here. I am a very competitive person by nature ,and I wanted to try be the best. I started to love running ,and would beg my Dad on weekends to run in our neighborhood together. I started to love especially long distance running ,and completed my first 5K race at the Syracuse Festival of Races. Next year I managed the Jordan Elbridge modified cross country team ,and could not wait to participate. In the fall of my seventh grade year I decided to go out for cross country instead of soccer. I began to fully dedicated myself to running. I worked hard as I could in my modified career ,and set goals that were made. In my eighth grade year I was the League Champ for cross country ,and I won a some invitationals. Later in the year I got moved to Varsity Track ,and realized I would have to work even harder to reach the dreams and goals I wanted to make. Besides all the High School accomplishments I want to accomplish, college running has been the number one goal that I want to accomplish. Running is my everything and I can't image myself doing any other sport. Running leaves me with a sense of accomplishment that I never recieved from all the sports I have played in the past. I continue to work hard to improve in running while maintaining High Honor Role in school. I have chosen to challenge myself ,and am taking AP and college level classes. In the future I want to study to become a Physical Therapist. I inspire to become the best runner I can be and help to lead my future team to a Championship. I want to push myself beyond my limits and work as hard as I need to; to get there. I want leave an example and inspire high schoolers to purse their dreams and never stop believing in themselves. Most of all I'm not afriad to fail because if I fail to achieve a time or place, I know that I have to work even harder to get there. Nothing is impossible with determination.
