“Running is the only thing that has made me feel powerful, strong, and yet humbled all at the same time. And maybe that’s why I love it so much.” – Anonymous
Track has always been a sport I loved doing and I could not see myself today without it. I have been on varsity track since 8th grade and have stuck with it ever since. I love to see all my arduous work and dedication paying off on the track and the positive results that can come with it. I am a three-sport athlete who does soccer, indoor and outdoor track. Whatever sport I am in, I am a hardworking, coachable individual and a team player who can take control when needed. Complacency never worked for me, I always knew I could keep doing better and so I did. While pushing and motivating myself, I always strive to do the same for my teammates to get the most out of their potential. I am a true team player who takes as much pride in their teammates accomplishments as I do my own. I am a hard worker who doesn’t settle for mediocracy in herself or in her teammates. I am always finding ways to challenge myself, whether it is challenging the male track team or putting in extra time after practice to perfect my skills, to better and push myself. All my hard work and dedication is what drove me to breaking school records, lowering my times and competing in the state meet for the 200m. I have had dreams and aspirations of being a collegiate athlete since 8th grade. The allure of the best coaching and competition is something that has been on my mind since I started with track.
I am looking for a college that will push me to my limits and provide me the best coaching and competition possible to make the most out of my potential, both on and off the track, and to get a rewarding collegiate experience. My athletic goals are to see how far I can be pushed and how much I can achieve, play at the highest level of competition, and to contribute to helping my team be as successful as possible no matter what my role is.
