HI! my name is Gianna, i used to do gymnastics for 12 years and my senior year i had to quit due to a back injury. I wanted to stay in shape so i decided to join the track team for fun. I never realized what an amazing sport track really was, it's so much different when you're on the inside. This year was my first time doing track and it turned it out I was a natural. My grades weren't the best throughout high school. I didn't really see the importance of getting amazing grades, I just wanted to hangout with my friends, go out, etc. Once i realized that I actually could have something going for myself I realized that college is the route I want to take. I want to start applying myself to be better in every aspect that I can. I know my worth and my ability to make something out of myself and I've never been more sure about that. I ended up being second in the section and qualified for state qualifiers with barely any experience. This past season has taught me so much, I've made friends who are now my family, i've learned to stop doubting myself so much, and now i'm ready to apply myself more than ever. I'm ready to become a better athlete and a better student. I've never been more sure.
