I joined the Track & Field team at Harding University High School my freshman year during the outdoor season. I guess I can say I made the team because the coaches seen that I had potential, ever since I was given that chance to run I have only set my mind to move forward as the day goes by. I have always loved watching the track and field athletes of the Olympics and other competitions, I dream that one day i will get to that level through hard work and dedication. Track has made me stronger, physically and mentally. It has taught me countless life lessons like without failure, there is no room for improvement. Also it has taught me that, winning a race is not always guaranteed, but can be achieved through hard work. Nothing comes easy in life, success is achieved though failure. Track prepared me for failure, for success, for disappointment. It showed me that even when I am successful, or even if I do fail, there is still tomorrow to try harder. It thought me sportsmanship, and teamwork and pushes me to my best abilities. Track has taught me that Its not always about coming In first but Its about what you do to better the end. My coaches always tells me to only focus on what happens In my lane because track Is a one man sport that only I decide how my race finish and how It ends.
