Hi, my name is Jordyn Horan. I have always dreamed of competing further than high school in my sport and being a student-athlete. When I was younger I started out in gymnastics, then did cross country and lacrosse, and after watching American Ninja Warrior one day, I sparked an interest in pole vaulting. I decided to try it, and that is when my love for pole vaulting emerged. I travel to High Point which is about an hour and a half drive from my home. While some days can be long, the friendships I have made are all worth it. I love the connections to different athletes, schools, and coaches, that turn to friends along the way. I love feeling like I am flying through the air. While traveling to jump, I am still working throughout the week, taking all college classes, and being student body of my high school. I love to be involved with anything I can and help when I am available to give back to the people who gave their time to me and pass it forward. No matter what, the experiences and memories I have made through this sport can not be expressed in words. I am so grateful for the opportunities I have had because of pole vaulting, and could not imagine my life any other way now.
