Mariah Schroeder '16 Recruiting Profile

I hope to challenge myself in collegiate level track and field. I'm a hard worker and can honestly say that my successes have not come easily. They are a result of hard work and many times trying to be just a little better than the person next to me. My 7-10th grade years were hard because I was the farthest thing from being athletic. However, I wanted to go to State track so bad that I kept pushing my body and my mind until I finally qualified in both the 100 M hurdles and high jump in 11th grade. I'm proud of this  because I know it was not sheer talent that got me there - it was desire and hard work.
