I do believe I am highly suited to compete at the NCAA level because of my hard work ethic and dedication to every endeavor I choose to explore. I understand what it takes to be a high level athlete and I have the personal drive and self discipline to work towards it. Competing in competitive gymnastics for 10 years, and finally reaching level 10, I understand the time and sacrifice needed to master a skill.
As well as sport, I value academics very highly and have aspirations to be a biomedical engineer. Sports have taught me great time-management skills, dedication and certainly goal-setting which are not only important on the track but in life itself. After completing my first year of university here in Canada, I am choosing to pursue my goal to compete in the NCAA.
The fall of 2018, I encountered one of the hardest road blocks I've had to face and battled with some medical issues causing me to take some time away from sport. However; during this time I was able to keep my marks up in school and really create a balance in my life. I am now thrilled to say I am back on the track getting ready to come back stronger than ever before, with the same goals in mind!
I would love to be able to pursue the sport that I continue to fall more in love with each and everyday at the collegiate level!
