Kate Budde Outdoo...Hello coaches!
My name is Kate Budde, and I am currently a Junior at Dublin Jerome High School. I started track around eight years old and ever since then, I have been in love with the sport. I have competed in club track since that year and competed for Jerome during the indoor season of my freshman year, and both the indoor and outdoor seasons of my sophomore and junior years. Unfortunately, in February of my freshman year, I was involved in a serious car accident in the middle of the indoor season. I was out of sports for about a year including my freshman outdoor season and 2022 club season. Since then, I have been extremely passionate about getting back into sports and playing at a collegiate level. I am also a dual sport athlete, playing club volleyball for the past four years as well as freshman year for Jerome. I have been on the Hilliard Track Club team for the past 11 years, qualifying for USATF National Junior Olympic Championships multiple times over my career in multiple events. For the past 7 years, I have spent a lot of my time volunteering for my local cat shelter and fostering kittens with my family. I am also an extremely driven person in the classroom with a 3.8 GPA and taking college credit level classes my high school offers in partnership with Columbus State Community College. I plan to major in a health science, and I believe my rigorous high school course load has helped prepare me for the challenge of balancing college academics and athletics. I hope also to become a youth club volleyball coach and be a positive role model in others' lives, just like my coaches were for me over the years. I am extremely grateful for all the support I have received over the years from everyone around me, including my peers, coaches, and especially my parents.
