2023 HighlightsMy sister inspired me into doing track when i was younger, I would go with her on her runs at times at the age of 8, I loved the environment that her team created and built. I started my first year of track in middle school at pleasant view I would run the 800 and 400, i started running the 1600 my freshman year of high school. Running was always like therapy to me and helped me with my anxiety and stress. Whenever I would come home from a long day of school or whenever I was bored at home I would go for a run. Running taught me how to build strong friendships and team work. freshman year of track is my favorite season, i met new people and new coaches. My coaches always told me that I had to work for what I wanted in track and that's how I would become better, another thing they would say is racing is a mental game and the biggest competition i will have. Through out my first year in high school I pushed my self a lot, I was very committed into having faster times and improving on things. Every bad race I would have I would always write in my track journal and write about what were the things I needed to fix and things that i'm improving on.
