Running has been a defining part of my life, shaping me into an athlete who is dedicated, disciplined, and eager to improve. As I prepare for the next step in my academic and athletic career, I am looking for a team where I can push my limits, learn from experienced coaches, and contribute to a culture of hard work and perseverance.
I take pride in being coachable and giving my best effort every day. My willingness to listen, adapt, and execute instructions has helped me steadily improve and develop a strong sense of accountability to my coaches and teammates.
Beyond training, I understand that success in distance running comes from consistency, mental toughness, and a relentless work ethic. I embrace early morning runs, tough workouts, and the grind of the season because I know that every mile logged is a step toward my goals. I thrive on competition, not just against others but against my own personal bests, always striving to surpass what I once thought was possible. I also value the team aspect of cross country and track, encouraging my teammates and pushing them to be their best, just as they do for me.
Academically, I hold myself to high standards, balancing school with my training schedule. I've struggled with dyslexia and have worked hard to overcome making my way into Honors ELA. I believe that discipline in the classroom translates to discipline on the course, and I am eager to bring that same level of commitment to a collegiate program.
