At my elementary school we could only start doing track in Grade 4. I remember how excited I was to finally be competing and doing what I love: running. I started off running every event that I could and it was only in Grades 6-8 when I really found the events I was passionate about. Triple Jump being first and the 400m a close second. Every year since Grade 4 I had competed in these events and went on to compete at the next level known as ASG. Eventually when I reached Grade 9 I joined the track team and was introduced to hurdles. This opened up a whole new world of possibilities as I had finally found an event that included middle distance running and jumping. I was ecstatic! In my Grade 9 track year I went to OFSAA (an all Ontario high-school meet) for two individual events, Triple jump and 300mH and 4x100m relay.
I believe that I would be a good fit for any college or university team because I am extremely passionate about my sports and use that as my drive to achieve my goals. I enjoy pushing myself to be the best and won't let anything stand in my way. All of my life I have dreamed about playing at the collegiate level and I will make sure I do everything I can to make that dream a reality.
