My name is Jasmin Bioteau and I hope to run track and cross country in college. My goals for this year are to run sub 20 minutes for my 5k, to run a 5:30 mile or lower, and to make states with an 800m time of less than 2:20. I am currently captain of the Abington Cross Country and Track team and have medalled at cross country and track invitationals. My plans for the future are to major in a math or science and minor in Spanish. To achieve these goals, I have taken difficult courses to prepare me and have become an active member in my school and home community. Some of the courses I am and have taken are AP Chemistry, AP Physics I: Algebra Based, AP Psychology, and AP Biology. I received a 5 on the AP Biology exam. In my school community, I am a member of the national spanish honors society, the environmental club, the national honors society, and a program called build on; build on consists of a group of students who travel to underprivileged areas outside the United States and build schools. In my local community, I regularly volunteer and have even won gold and silver awards for volunteering. As a well rounded scholar athlete, I would be an asset to the right team.
