Hi, my name is Grace Bleyer and I am a Junior at Cumberland High School. I have been a sprinter on the varsity track team since freshman year. I run the 100,200,400,4x100,55, 4x200, and long jump. In addition, to track I have also been a gymnast for 10 years. I am a level 8 gymnast while also balancing track. I am the level 7 2022 RI state champion in gymnastics and placed 3rd place All-around in the region 6 level 7 championship. Gymnastics definitely had a great impact on my track career. At the start of freshman year, I had never truly liked running but I decided to sign up to improve my vault and tumbling skills. However, as the season started my coach began noticing that I was a good fit for the 4x100 Meter varsity relay. I was placed with all the seniors as a freshman. Throughout practices, their constant drive pushed me to really work hard and focus on improving every day. Now as a Junior, I get to be the lead and push the incoming freshman. I am interested in running in college because I want to improve in running and I am interested in competing at high-level standers.
