From the time I was a little girl, sitting in the stands at track meets watching my older sisters run races to the time I could finally step on the track and run my own race, I have always had a passion for track. Seventh grade was the first year I was able to run and I was then recruited by summer track club coaches with AAU to run with them that following summer. Every summer since then I have been involved in running summer track with Central Texas Elite track club. I give credit to my coaches for teaching me what it looks and it feels like to leave everything I have on the track during workouts and meets. Thanks to them I have improved my times greatly and have a great understanding of what goes into working hard and not quitting when something gets tough. On the track or not, it is very important to me to strive to be my best in what I do.
