Jacqueline Cruz '19 Recruiting Profile

I'm Jackie Cruz, a high-school Senior at St. Agnes Acadmey. I'm a straight A student and I run cross-country and track for my school in the TAAPS league.  I attended Cristo Rey Jesuit my freshman and sophomore year and I won TCAL state in cross-country freshman year, and sophomore year.  I also ran aau club track and field for Beast Mode, in Houston TX.  I started running in 8th grade and ever since found my passion for the sport. I am 100% sure that I want to run cross-country and track in college.  As of right now, I would like to focus on the 3200m and 1500m, and try new distances like the 10,000m. As a runner, I compete against myself, and always try to improve my PR's even by a second. I am also very competitive during my races, I stick with the leading pack and make my move near the end, with a strong finish.
