Leisa VanVooren '15 Recruiting Profile

I have signed to run track at Oklahoma Christian University. I absolutely love track and want to run in college. This year, my goal is to get under 58 in the 400 and under 2:20 in the 800. I want to break the 400 school record. I also want to qualify for state. My best 800 time is 2:21.5 and I broke our school record as a sophomore. My junior year at regionals, we broke the 4x400 relay record and I ran my best 400 split with a time of 58.8. I am running summer track with the Grapevine Gazelles. I am currently a senior at LD Bell High School in Hurst, Texas and my GPA is 4.15. I am in the top 10 percent of my class. I am in AP classes and am very involved at my school. I am a leader of Fellowship of Christian Athletes, in Mu Alpha Theta and the National Honor Society. In college, I want to major in education.
