I started running when I was 8 years old and immediately knew it was the sport I wanted to pursue. I have maintained the same amount of passion in track that I had since my start and continue to dedicate myself to becoming the best athlete I can be. I believe that hard work is the only way to success and training is the most important part.
I have competed in both school and club seasons, including at UIL Regionals and Nationals for AAU and USA Track and Field. I train consistently and am always pushing myself to achieve better goals. As my performance in track is very important to me, I try to get as much feedback from my coaches as possible and am always willing to try whatever is needed in order to accomplish and better myself as a runner.
Along with track, school is something I take very seriously. I strive to excel in all my classes and take many AP and other challenging courses to improve myself as a student. I am an active member of my school and am a part of the National Spanish Honor Society as well as the National English Honor Society. Through these I am able to be a part of more school events and volunteer work in my community.
Competing in track on a collegiate level is my ultimate goal and I would love to be able to be a part of a college where I can explore new opportunities and improve myself both academically and athletically. I hope that I will be able to learn new things while continuing my passion of track and field.
