I started running track when I was eight, running against my friends in the park. Since then, I have developed an ardent love for the sport, and my dream is to continue racing in college. Although I was sidelined early on in my 2013 season, I managed to run a 12.7 in the 100m a few weeks into training while sick with the flu (to prove my dedication). As my PR is 12.66, I know I have yet to run my full potential. My goal for this upcoming season is a 12.1, and I train with sprints, plyos, and weights 6 days a week. Despite this commitment, I carry a 4.0 GPA and am enrolled in several AP classes for my senior year and have been honored with qualifying as a National Merit Semifinalist. For these reasons, I aspire to attend a premiere university that both understands and supports the importance of superior academics and competitive athletics, where I can pursue studies in international relations.
