I've been a three-sport varsity athlete at a 4A school since my freshman year in Cross Country, Basketball and Track. While I love Basketball, I see myself running track and field in college. I went to State as a Freshman in the triple jump and went to State as a sophomore in two events, triple jump and 300 hurdles. I've won our conference title in the TJ two years in a row, and was named district champion last season. At the end of the season, I decided to try the State heptathlon and placed 2nd in my age division, 7th overall. This experience has ignited a passion for pursuing the heptathlon. I think my coaches (and teachers) would say I am a very hard worker and that my best quality is that I am coachable. I take cues and apply them. I am not necessarily the vocal person on the team, but I like to think I lead by example. I get along with everyone and try to bring a positive vibe to the team. I am a strong student and am taking 3 IB courses and 1AP course. I plan to continue taking IB throughout my senior year. I can't wait to see where the upcoming season takes me.
