Compared to my colleagues I know I have got the drive and resilience to compete collegiately. My first year of cross country was my sophomore year and I managed to get voted Captain that same season and the following season. Not only am I willing to put in the miles and leave everything I have at the races, I help bring a positive attitude and uplifting sense of encouragement with me. Outside of running I am very focused on academics as I currently hold a 3.7 GPA and do so while taking AP courses. Within the field of academics I am very STEM oriented and am involved with the Robotics team, where I was also voted Captain. In this STEM pursuit I hope to major in engineering or STEM education. Between the academics and extracurriculars there is a common theme. This theme being that I am a hard working driven character who will help encourage others to bring their best as well. Not only will I help and encourage but I am also coachable and want to grow as a runner and student.
