Hello! My name is Madeline Zirbel. I am 17 years old, and am a junior at West De Pere High School. I am very determined to work for what I want to achieve. I truly believe that hard work pays off, and just trusting the process. I have been doing high jump since I was in 6th grade (jumping 4'10"), and I have only been climbing up the ladder from there! In 8th grade I set a new record at West De Pere Middle School with the height of 5'1". This drove me to want to get even better. My freshman year I then went on to jumping 5'4" consistently. I ended up heading to state that year. My goal now is to break the high school high jump record set at 5'5". To change gears a bit to academics, I want to study dietetics. I have been passionate about it my whole life. I feel it is a study that I can apply to my daily life, as well as other’s lives. Nutrition is very important when it comes to truly excelling in a sport, and giving you that extra step above other competitors. I look forward to the many opportunities to come for me.
