I am a very motivated and determined athlete. I look at everyday as a day to improve, not only for myself but for the benefit of my team. I set goals and do everything in my power to achieve them, and then when I do, I immediately make a new goal for myself. I have been running and racing since 5th grade, and I have grown to love running so much that sometimes I think I am obsessed. I think I have a very confident, yet humble, character. I have a strong mentality about my race and what I am setting out to do, but I don't get cocky about it. I don't get cocky because I know that the only way I can really prove myself is with my time. I have been told that times never lie, and I think the most humble runners understand this. As a child, I think I tried every sport imagined. I think this makes me a better runner today because I have learned the leadership, respect, and patience aspects from the games of other sports. Academics are one of the few things I value more then my running. Ever since I was very young, I have wanted to be a doctor. I know that being a doctor comes with a lot of hard work. That is where I am mean't to be, I am all about the hard work. In preparation to get into med school, let alone college, I have always tried my best in school and it is really paying off. I have successfully maintained a 4.0 all of high school thus far, and I have a very challenging course load to push me to my limits.
