I have been playing volleyball since I was in the third grade. Starting in third grade I used volleyball as a way to connect to my community and make lasting relationships. I have grown to be a source of stability on my team while simultaneously being a strong leader. I have a deep rooted passion for competition and my health that stems from my athletic involvement.
I take pride in being a year-round beach volleyball payer. In addition to beach volleyball I weight lift year round, not only in my high school weight training program but also with a physical trainer. I want to compete in collegiate athletics as a way to continue competing at a high level and to maintain a high level of fitness physically.
Academically speaking, I maintain a high GPA and partake in multiple honors and AP classes throughout the year. I have been involved with the DECA chapter at my school for four years and I'm currently the DECA president for my chapter for the second year in a row. Along with this I have been inducted into the national honor Society at my highschool and am a member of Ceramics Club.
Volleyball has given me the resources and tools to help serve my community as well. I have volunteered my time coaching a Little League Volleyball team of third and fourth grade girls who won second place at their end of season tournament last year.
I want to continue my athletic and academic career at the collegiate level to continue to benefit my connection with my community and help me achieve my personal goals, both academically and physically.
