My name is Macie Drum, I am a high school and club water polo player. I am a Junior at Buhach Colony High School in Atwater Ca, and will graduate in 2025. I play for Bulldogs Water Polo Club In Fresno California. My position is primarily a utility player for club and a center for high school.
Last year was my first high school water polo season as a sophomore due to transferring schools to pursue my goal of becoming a collegiate water polo player. We had a great high school season making it to the finals for San Joaquin Section. I was a starter and captain with a total of 93 goals, 57 assists, and 59 K.O.+. I was also awarded 1st Team All-Conference, 1st Team All-Region, 1st Team All-Area. I have been to many camps the past year including Cal's winter water polo camp, Fresno State's water polo camp, and I also attended the Cadet Central ODP Zones camps, and attended the Evaluation Camp for the Cadet teams. I also had the opportunity to play at the ODP National Championships where we placed 5th in the country. As well as this I had the amazing opportunity to attend NTSC (National Team Selection Camp) in May.
I began playing for Bulldog Water Polo Club after my sophomore high school season. We have played in many high level club tournaments including Futures, Cal Cup, Jo Quals, US Club Champs, and JO's. We placed top 5th at Cal Cup, 2nd at Jo Quals, and we placed gold in the gold division at JO's.
Academically I have maintained a average of a 4.2 GPA. I have also finished 14 units of college courses and hope to complete my AA by the time I graduate high school. I would like to major in vet science and go on to become a small animal vet.
