River Lee '25 Recruiting Profile

My first introduction to water polo was watching my older brother work his way up from club and high school teams, eventually to play in college. By the time I started playing at the age of 9, I was already hooked. I continued to work endlessly on the strategy and physical skills necessary to become a high level player by playing in club myself and now in high school.  Being coached by many different styles I learned from all the coaches and became very coachable.  I was voted best defensive player by my coaches my first year and was voted 2nd Team All-Conference player by the league  in my second year in high school. I’m a team player and play many positions, distributing the ball as needed, coming back on defenses to thwart the counter attacks, shooting from the perimeter and 2 meters while leading the league in steals in 2021-2022.   My parents have encouraged me to develop my own thoughts and ideas on the sport as well as my professional and academic career.  Academically I strive to do my best and provide the balance between scholar and athlete.  I always strive to do more then what is expected of me and contribute any way I can.    I hope to continue contributing to a team throughout college and help them build a winning legacy.
