My passion for playing water polo began during my freshmen year, shortly after making the Varsity team for high school. It was a difficult year, being a new team and not winning many games. Through that year I learned the value of teamwork and work ethic. I joined club water polo during the summer and worked hard every week to improve my skills, offensively and defensively. The next high school season, we saw our hard work pay off, earned 2nd place in our league, and were moved up to the upper division. After playing another season of club water polo and this high school season, I've increased my skill set, as a primary 2M defender for high school and a utility player. As someone who is very receptive to constructive feedback and is always looking to improve, I believe I have the strength and work ethic to be a part of a college team. I am looking for a program that fits me academically and athletically, as my studies are an important part of being a well-rounded athlete.
