Taylor McBride '20 Recruiting Profile

Having been on San Marcos High Schools Water polo and Swim team for all 4 years of my high school career I have become extremely dedicated to being in the water, staying active, being a reliable teammate, and developing time management skills. I earned my spot on transitioning between Varsity and Junior Varsity my Freshman year on Water polo, and come Sophomore year I was on full time Varsity for both Swim and Water polo. This year, as a Senior I spearheaded the recruitment of over 30 new girls for Water polo and earned my spot as Varsity Team Captain and MVP, as well as swim team Captain. I make it a priority to make each and every teammate welcome and strive to make the team encouraging and positive. Since I was 9 I have been on competitive Swim teams, Joining Water polo my Freshman year of High school, and becoming a lifeguard I am always surrounded by an active water environment. I know with hard work I can continue to improve my skills. My goal is to play Water polo in college and to make connections to someday be eligible in the Olympics.
