Samira Nadgar '26 Recruiting Profile

Hello coaches, my name is Samira Nadgar and I am looking forward to researching your team and communicating with you. Water polo has been a major part of my life for the past 7 years and has always been my safe place. Every since I was little the ambition I had to work hard, practice hard, and play harder was what set me apart from the rest and continues to as I develop.Throughout my years I have played at several different levels including neighborhood pools, to club season, to the national tournament for the olympic development program for three years in a row. Throughout this time each new experience has shaped me to become a better player as well as a better person and I would love to continue my development with you at a collegiate level. At Neuqua Valley High School, I have taken 6 honors and 5 AP classes and I am very academically inclined with an unweighted GPA of 4.0 and a weighted GPA of 4.6. I am constantly seeking challenges and assignments that require me to stretch my potential and meet unrealistic expectations. These numbers were only possible with the hard work ethic and determination that I strive to put into anything I do. This work ethic carries over to the pool where I have been my high school team's captain, MVP, All Academic, All Sectional, and All Conference for the past two years. Although this is a major responsibility for a underclassmen, I love helping my teammates out and sharing my knowledge to them. Several times during the season I stay past practice to help them out and teach them new skills by drawing out diagrams or in the water physically directing them. These are characteristics I what I hope to bring to your program as well. Outside of the classroom, I volunteer at the animal shelter; I am a fellow for my congresswomen, Lauren Underwood; and I teach little kids water polo, all of which bring me happiness and peace. In the upcoming years, I will use my focus, determination, ambition, and perseverance to sustain my high GPA, continue to join new extracurricular activities, constantly grow in water polo, and more importantly as a person.
