I have always been a strong swimmer, and began swimming with a team in middle school. I was unable to compete during my freshman year due to the pandemic, but I joined my sophomore year and a few of my teammates encouraged me to try out for water polo. I reluctantly joined, and little did I know just how much I was going to fall in love with the sport! By the end of that season, I knew water polo was something I wanted to continue in college. I joined my local club to stay strong over the summer and winter, and continue having fun with my teammates. When I am in the water, I put forth my best effort for my coaches and teammates, as well as myself, and strive towards reaching my full potential and helping my teammates reach theirs. In the relatively short time I have been playing, I have developed a high shooting average, as well as high endurance and awareness on the field. I have also maintained a high GPA during the water polo and swim seasons, while also participating in Science Olympiad and Foreign Exchange Club. Outside of school, I am involved in Hungarian School and Hungarian Scouting. I grew up speaking the language and attending school and scouts every other weekend with my family and some of my closest friends. I am still fluent in Hungarian, and Hungarian scouting has given me many opportunities, such as leadership camps in Fillmore, New York every summer, which have allowed me to lead my own group of young scouts within my troop. This opportunity has helped realize my love for working with children. I aspire to earn an advanced degree in Occupational Therapy and have a career that allows me to help some little kids be the best they can be. I am looking for a place where I can reach my highest potential as a student athlete and aspiring occupational therapist.
