My goal is to play water polo at the college level. Though I would ideally like to play for a Division 1 team, what is most important to me is to find a coach that will continue to push me to become a better water polo player. Despite COVID-19 and significant limitations to our ability to play a full 2021 spring season, I have improved significantly as a player and believe that I am continuing to improve, and would like to play for a coach who continues to make me a better player. I would be a positive addition to any team as I have swimming speed after 10 years as a competitive swimmer, and also have versatility to play numerous positions. Though I prefer hole set, I am also a strong utility player and will play where my team needs me most. As a side note, I have overcome a sudden and surprising Type 1 diabetes diagnosis almost two years ago (the day after I finished competing in the 2019 Junior Olympics), and my ability to manage my diabetes has strengthened my commitment to water polo. I want to serve as an example to younger players that you can overcome anything and still pursue your dreams.
