My name is Jacqueline (Jojo) Walters. I am from Southlake, TX, and play for North Texas Thunder Water Polo Club. My goal is to play D1 college water polo, either in the North East or in California. I'm looking for both an academic and an athletic challenge, so that I can develop and excel as a player and a student. I look forward to meeting new people, a great academic environment, and playing water polo with terrific teammates and coaches.
Coaches tell me that I am adaptable and hard working. I can adapt to different styles of play, positioning, and coaching techniques. I also act as another coach in the water, helping newer athletes understand the game. I enjoy prating at all levels because it allows me to both learn and develop as a leader.
I have had significant water polo experience thus far, and this sets me apart from other athletes because I've had experience at the local, club and zone levels, as well as the national level. I've experienced many different situations and have had to adjust accordingly.
I am an All-Honor Roll student, with Honors/Pre-AP classes and a 4.0 through 8th grade. I take serious pride in and responsibility for my grades and academic status. It is important to me, as it greatly affects my future. During the 2019-2020 school year, I was a member of National Junior Honor Society. I completed over 20 hours of volunteer service hours and helped around the school campus. Through 7th and 8th grade I completed 3 high school credits, Pre-AP Algebra 1, Pre-AP Geometry and Pre-AP Health. I am a part of Future Farmers of America (FFA), Class Council (Vice President), National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) and National Honor Society (NHS.) My sophomore year, I took Advanced Pre-Calculus, Advanced English 2, Chemistry, Latin 2 and AP World History: Modern.
