Jenessa Serrano '22 Recruiting Profile

Hello I'm Jenessa Serrano! I plan to get a degree in animal science or biology with a focus on vet medicine. As for my wrestling goals, I aspire to compete for Team USA overseas; I'm more than willing to put in extra work to reach my goals and won't stop until I do. As a team captain, I make sure my teammates are mentally and physically strong by constantly being their own personal mentor, cheerleader, therapist, and nurse. For example, during tournaments, I make sure all the girls are hydrated and well-rested as well as assessing where they are mentally, being by their sides each match, and making lists of each thing to be improved on or tweaked in the room the following Monday. I take care of my teammates as if they were an extension of myself.
