2022 HighlightsWrestling brought new meaning to my life. I have always been a student-athlete and have played a multitude of sports since I qualified for my local REC team. This included track and xc, soccer, basketball, and now wrestling. I joined with many of the girls in Idaho after they sanctioned the sport because I love the grit and endurance required for the sport. Since I started wrestling, I have realized what it truly means to "love" a sport—not just enjoy the people, the winning, or the competition. Wrestling has tested my mental and physical endurance, and yet no matter how tired or beat up, I still want to go to that next practice, finish that workout, and study the film. So though I don't have years of mat time, I have experienced many wins and losses throughout my athletic career that have humbled me. I know how to put the work in, and I love the sport and the people in it, and wherever I get to continue my career, I promise to devote myself to the program, my coach, and my teammates.
Regarding my academics, I have been top of my class since starting high school and will graduate with my Associate's Degree in Liberal Arts from CSI by the time I finish my senior year. I love linguistics and would like to pursue a degree in Modern Languages and Business or Kinesiology to pursue a career in Sports Medicine. In my Freshman year, I competed in FFA on the Meats and Parliamentary teams. In my Sophomore year, I was on the Parliamentary team for FCCLA. I have also been a member of the Honor Society since my sophomore year.
