I am a second-year wrestler and have completely fallen in love with the sport. Growing up the schools I had didn't offer wrestling, so I was pretty oblivious to the sport until I transferred high schools. I joined the team with no idea what to expect and ever since it has become a major part of my life. I'm on my second year so I don't know a ton, but I've learned very fast with the little coaching I've had. I have to drive to do amazing things and become the wrestler I never thought would be possible. My favorite thing about wrestling is the rewarding feeling of seeing my progress after all the hard work I've put in at practices, the gym, and even on the mat. So far, I've only been able to go to two girls wrestling tournaments otherwise I've been mostly wrestling guys since there isn't much for girls wrestling available close by. I hope to wrestle in college and help be an inspiration for others that it doesn't matter when you start as long as you have the want to put in the work needed to be where you want to be.
