I aspire for greatness. Not to be better than everyone else, but to be better than I was the day before. My goal is to be an outstanding high school athlete and student. To succeed in qualifying and going to state and hopefully winning state at least once. Then move on to go to wrestle and study communications in college. Then move on to a career in business or journalism. There have been people in my life that have told me that I couldn't achieve a goal. Those people gave me the drive to do better, to be better, and to accomplish anything I put my mind to. Another thing that pushes me is the promise that I made to my Father before he passed away. I promised him that I would always do my best and honor him in every way I could. I am walking in my Dad's footsteps and wrestling at Millard South High School just like he did. My Dad was the one who taught me not to listen to the people who doubt me and never let anything hold me back from what I am capable of. In just the short amount of time I have been doing the sport, wrestling has taught me even more respect, more resilience, and more critical thinking than any other activity I have participated in. Without wrestling I don’t know where I would be today. The people I have met along the way have become my family, my friends, and my extended support system.
