Lexie Newman '26 Recruiting Profile

I've been driven by a passion for academics and athletics, particularly wrestling. My collegiate goals are to excel in my studies while contributing to a women's wrestling team. What sets me apart is my ability to balance rigorous academic schedules with demanding athletic training, demonstrating discipline, perseverance, and leadership. I grew up as the only female wrestler on my high school and middle school teams. With tremendous help from my family, we travel all over Oregon and California to get fierce competition and new training partners. 

Academically, I have consistently challenged myself with advanced coursework, including college-level classes. In wrestling, I have shown dedication and resilience, often going beyond required training to improve my performance. Known for my integrity, teamwork, and commitment, I strive to be the best. I am eager to bring my strengths and perspectives to a new team!
