Personal Statement

Wrestling has given me many experiences, friends, and valuable life lessons. My sister and I are blessed to have amazing parents that sacrifice their time to help us grow as an athlete and a person. I have a 3.3 GPA at Vacaville High School and my favorite classes are Math and American Sign language.

In the mat room, I'm lucky to have coaches that push us and a room full of teammates that help me get better everyday. I'm fortunate to have been on National teams in my off-season where I get to compete and make a lot of new friends around the state and country.

In my free time, I hang out with my friends or being extremely competitive in the world of video games. I haven't figured out what my college plans are yet, but I hope to find a college where I continue to develop my wrestling and grow academically.

2021 NHSCA Virginia Beach Nationals - Junior Division
4/23/21 to 4/25/21
Logan made the cut to 113+3lbs and won two big matches over a Tennessee State Champ and Oklahoma State Champ to get into the Quarterfinals. After losing a close 0-3 match in the Semis to an Ohio State placer, he took the 3x Wyoming State Champ and Fargo All-American to SV Overtime, which unfortunately resulted in a loss. 2-2 on the day but solid wrestling competition.

After qualifying in the Western Region, Logan had a solid showing beating the Oregon State Champ 11-2, taking the nationally ranked Illinois State Champ into overtime (losing 1-3). Finished 1-2 in the tournament losing to the eventual 5th and 8th place wrestlers.

Reaching the Quarter finals, Logan went 3-2. Defeating a FL State Finalist & an IL State Placer, and two 1 point losses in the Quarters and against the NE State Champ.

Wrestled up a weight class and qualified at 113 pounds by taking 3rd at Sections. Despite being ranked #17 in the state, he drew the #8th seed and lost a narrow 4-5 decision in the first round. The experience should give him confidence for the next two years.

Logan weighed in at 113 in the 115 weight class & finished in 3rd place with a narrow 2-4 loss in the semi's against the eventual Section Champion and California State Placer (6th). During the tournament, Logan registered 2 wins against a returning 2019 CIF State Qualifier
