Placing 3rd at 220 in the 2021 Georgia State Championship was a steppingstone in my high school wrestling career. That was the result of a year of hard work after experiencing heartbreak in 2020 when I did not qualify for the State Tournament. That reality check propelled my drive and determination to transform myself into an elite wrestler. It gave me the motivation and discipline to ramp up to 3-a-day workouts, increased mat time at my wrestling club, and earn the opportunity to compete at a national level for Team Georgia where I wrestled 285 at times to help the team. I decided not to continue with football for my senior year and focus all my energy to becoming a National Wrestling Champion.
I’m looking forward to contributing to my High School Team’s success this coming season and winning at the Georgia State Duals. I take my responsibility as a Senior on the team seriously and do my best to be a leader for my younger teammates. My growth and experience these past few years developed my strong work-ethic and I feel will make me an asset to my next team at the college level. I’m looking forward to finding the right program so I may continue to give my very best to the sport I love and become your National Champion!
