Personal Statement
Hi I'm Kaleb Thomaston I come from a very athletic family. My family instills in me strong roots and clean habits, from eating to sleeping and doing my best in whatever I do. I believe what makes me a good fit for a collegiate team is I am a hard worker, quit and can't are not in my vocabulary. My initiative and drive alone is what makes me great, knowing someone thinks that I can't do something or my size is a factor makes me work harder. I am an avid researcher, I research everything, one thing my mom always says is to "trust but verify". Three of my top goals for college is of course getting in to receive my degree although I am good at wrestling my education surpasses that. My second goal is to make the team and win a national title, and my third is to represent my country in the Olympics. I think what sets me apart from other recruits is my drive and initiative, I am willing to go the extra mile for any and everyone. Another thing that sets me apart from other recruits is my relationship with God, I come from a God fearing family who has taught me to put God first and take him everywhere I am and to abide and follow his commandments, being a living example of Christ wherever I am. My academics also sets me apart from other recruits, I am averaging right now a 3.1 GPA, I am intrigued with math and science so I am taking a STEM Class. Knowing that my athletics can take me far but my brains will take me further. And lastly, what sets me apart from my peers/recruits in athletics is my size and drive, they underestimate me and I let them. They don't ever see me coming.
