Ever since i started wrestling in the 6th grade, i have loved it. Wrestling has taught me so much in my life, how to overcome adversity, to never give up or give in, a work ethic and self discipline. Ever since about the 8th grade i have always had a dream of competing on the college level, with the best guys in the world. I have had many coaches throughout my career tell me i have what it takes to be a college wrestler and national Champion. My goal in high school was to be a 4x state champion, well that did not happen, due to a injury my freshman year. I ended up taking fourth as a freshman after getting cleared two weeks before the State tournament. My sophmore year was a really good year for me. I went 38-2 and won a Region Championship then on to win a State Championship. After the State tournament i was asked to be on Team Georgia National Team, where i was able to compete with some of the top guys in America. My Junior Year rolls around getting ready for the season and two weeks before the season starts, I was in a terrible Car accident where i ended up loosing two fingertips and severe damage to my left hand. Two months after my wreck i was back on the mat. I got cleared to compete with 40% strength in my my left hand and only 60% in my right, but i did not care nothing was gonna stop me from getting that State Title. The region tournament rolls around, and it is my return i made it all the way through the tournament no problem, i make it to the finals and i have to face a returning State Champion, our match went all three periods and i got my hand raised 6-4 in what was "the match of my life.' The state tournament is only two weeks away and i have been training two-three times a day just to get back to where i was before my accident. The State tournament is finally here and i could taste the Gold. I breezed through the tournament, i made it to the finals and had to face a guy i have previously wrestled and beaten. The match was awesome, but at the end of the match he ended up getting his hand raised by a score 3-2. I look at that as motivation for my senior year, I am fully 100% and nothing is gonna stop me from that State then National title this year. I put everything i have into this sport and without it i would be lost. Wrestling is my life and always will be, i hope that this shows that i have what it takes to be a National Champion.
