I feel like going from 5th place as a freshman to becoming a runner up as a sophomore really helped me realize how much summer wrestling improves your winter wrestling. My wrestling this summer has been the best it has ever been and it will bring me closer to my goal of being a state champion.
I started wrestling in third grade when I was sent home with a flyer to the local club team. From that point on I was in love with the intensity, heartbreak, and the accomplished feeling of when you get your hand raised. But most recently I've been in love with seeing all the little kids faces when they come to watch you wrestle and they see you win. Then you hear their parents talking about how much I inspire them and that to me is what keeps me to push myself to be the best I can be.
The biggest influences in my life have and continue to be my dad and my stepmom. They keep me going when I am at my lowest points but humble when I am at mt highest points. I can truly say they are the life line I need to push me.
One thing that I find unique about myself is that I am able to think, react, and respond, to situations quickly and effectively to develop solutions.
