Benjamin Shvartsman '22 Recruiting Profile

Although this is a bit generic, I strongly believe I have unparalleled work ethic along with a high-paced style I bring to every match. I feel where I stand out is being a dangerous wrestler, with ability to put someone to their back at any point in the match whether it's by a throw or a cradle. My wrestling arsenal is only growing as I am surrounded by great coaches and teammates. My 12 years of grappling/judo background and 10 years of competing nationally and internationally give me versatility and mental toughness, along with mat awareness/iq that allows me to be comfortable in many positions.

I want to be a part of an intense and successful environment full of great wrestlers in your wrestling program. I would like to bring my exciting style to your wrestling program's fans. My aspirations in collegiate wrestling would be to establish myself as a leader in the room and lift up my teammates, qualify for the NCAA tournament, and eventually compete for a title one day. 

I intend to pursue an education in Computer Science and/or Business Finance. My goals would be to attend a university that would give me the fullest confidence that I will be getting a great education and a path to future success in my professional life. A blend of artificial intelligence, computer science, economics, and finance is where I see my forthcoming contribution to this society as I plan to advance myself as a person and an athlete.
