Hello my name is Nicholas Minnito and first let me thank you for visiting my profile. I hope that this information shows my love for the sport of Wrestling and my desire to become a better wrestler every day. I began my wrestling career at the age of 7 with Force Elite Wrestling Club. I tried many sports such as baseball, soccer and golf but none of them captured my devotion the way wrestling has. What I love about the sport is the intensity of knowing it’s a one to one battle with your opponent. Wrestling has taught me to think and act ahead which is a skill beneficial in life as well. As I began my high school career I was fortunate enough to make the Varsity team. Although I did not make it to State competition my Freshman year, I was fortunate enough to take First place at Fresh-Soph State for the 113 pound weight class. My Sophomore year was more successful in that I was a State Qualifier. I also wrestled for Team Illinois in the Freestyle National Toursment in Fargo, North Dakota. Unfortunately I suffered an injury my Junior year and was unable to wrestle. However, I am glad to say that through working with my personal trainer, I am back and stronger than ever. I just recently took 2nd at the Midwest Nationals wrestling tournament in Bloomington, IL. I will also be participating in the Pre-Season National Tournament in October and the Super 32 Tournament in North Carolina in October as well. I am striving to get better each year and fully anticipate producing results. I hope you find that I am a worthy candidate for your college program and I look forward to hearing from you and hopefully working with you in the future. Again, thank you for viewing my profile.
Sncerely,
Nicholas Minnito
