I began wrestling back in middle school and fell in love with the sport. I knew I needed to do a sport where I would have the opportunity to put in the work, develop my technical skills, and see improvement throughout the years. As I transitioned to High School it gave me the opportunity to compete at my states highest level of competition within a program that I have grown to love because of my connection with my coaches and teammates. From the intense training to going out and competing with the support of the program in my corner, I couldn’t ask for anything more. This is exactly what I'm looking for in a college program as I seek to bring a tireless work ethic, a tenacious competitive nature, and a skill set that my future coaches can refine to bring out the best in my wrestling talents and personal development as a student athlete.
My goals for 2022 are focused on two key objectives; helping my team win a District Championship and meeting my NCAA eligibility requirements. The first goal of winning districts has been a goal of mine since competing on the varsity team as a freshman in districts and coming up just six points short of making that happen. I refuse to let the senior class leave our program before we achieve that goal, because they have been a huge influence to me and my teammates. My second goal is to meet my NCAA eligibility requirements because I want to continue my wrestling career in a program that is supportive of my academic growth, my career asperations, and my passion for the sport I love.
