Hello Coaches! My name is Gabe Park, and I wrestle out of Saint Paul, Minnesota. I have been wrestling for three years and have already achieved First Place at the Twin Cities Championship (against all high school teams in both Saint Paul and Minneapolis) twice. I am honored to be team captain, have earned Academic All Section, and have been awarded two Varsity letters. I am also a state qualifier for AA.
I have also done Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) for seven years. I got into wrestling because I wanted to learn martial arts. My dad didn't want to put me in boxing so we started with BJJ and wrestling—I haven’t stopped since.
I have learned through wrestling how to be respectful, how to do what is right, and how to work hard. I have also learned how to balance all aspects of life, sports, academics, and family while improving in my sport.
What motivates me is my family (mom who has a disease called MS, dad, sister, brother, grandparents), friends, teammates, and coaches, as well as an innate desire to be great. My future goals are to be a National Champion, All-American, then go on to win a world title. Academically, I want to graduate with a degree and a high GPA. I am a great leader because I can set the right example, give good advice, and push people to be their best selves.
If you chose me to be on your team, I will give you everything I have and actively use all the lessons I’ve learned to elevate your program.
