Luke Hayden '27 Recruiting Profile

My name is Luke Hayden, and I just completed my sophomore year at Hickman High School. I'm currently a 2x Missouri State High School Class 4 State Champion at 165 lbs (2024 and 2025), a 3x Missouri Freestyle State Champion, and Missouri Youth State Champion. I’m currently ranked #28 in the Sports Illustrated National High School Wrestling Ranking for 165 lbs. I have been wrestling since I was 4 years old, and it has always been my dream to compete as a collegiate athlete with an elite wrestling team. From 2020-2022, I trained year-round with a world champion wrestler through a Blackshirt program. We averaged 3 practices per day in a high-intensity, collegiate level room focused on technique, positions, and strength/conditioning. For the past 3 years, and currently, I am training with Mike Eierman where I am learning his superior technique of scrambling and unique philosophy of elite wrestling. My goal this year has to been to chase tougher competition through national tournaments and duals. Academics are also very important to me, and I work hard to put in the work needed to earn the grade I know I am capable of. When I’m not studying in the classroom, grinding in the wrestling room, or lifting in the weight room, I’m out working in the fields with my dad. This year I am also farming/managing my own 52 acres of cash rent row crop that I planted with soybeans this summer and will be harvesting this fall. I plan on getting a degree in Agriculture or Business Management.
